Stephen Lewis

In Mr. Dolan's American History class (he was an ex-boxer - full name was George "Cozy" Dolan Junior). Very strict about boys only having the very top shirt button open. Phys Ed was right before his class and we would all run the length of the school to make it on time. One day I forgot and left two buttons open. Mr. Dolan took one look and to make a point, asked for everyone's attention. He then took one hair between his thumb and index finger (he quickly thwarted my efforts to button up) and announced: "Class, Mr. Lewis is growing a chest hair. Very good Mr. Lewis - you take care of that". While I was flushing red he said that this was his "nice" way of making a point. At least he didn't pluck the one hair I had then!

Have corresponded via email with George Rimel, Dale Lykins, Lavonne Cole, Lynda Atkins, Mike Joyce, David Deater, Mary-Lee Krumm, Tony Artal, Mickey Noone, Bob Bergren, Sheila Ripley and Lynn Mertz (some years back), etc. but have not seen anyone...one of these days I WILL make it for one of the reunions - time is rushing by so I'd better get to it soon. Right now recovering from back surgery but expect to be frisky again by early next year.

05-24-19: Since the original entry above, Mary-Lee Banek (Krumm) and her husband, Jim Banek, both succumbed in 2018 to lengthy courses of cancer. They are together now in Peace with their Lord & Savior.
